The Silver Chalice is a sacred chalice, belonging to Ivar's people. It was stolen by Torc, Queen Maeve's general.
Mider uses the silver chalice's power to transport himself back and forth between a dark realm to increase his powers. After Maeve's defeat and banishment, the sorceress Nemain took the chalice for herself.
