Liam was to have been the Mystic Knight of Lightning, a new character that would have been introduced in the second season of Mystic Knights, entitled Mystic Knights: Battle Thunder.

Following the news that actor Vincent Walsh would be leaving the show after the first season, the decision was made to promote Garrett into the position of Mystic Knight of Earth following Angus's departure. As a result, it became necessary to create a new character to fill the position of Mystic Knight of Lightning, which would have originally gone to Garrett had Walsh not left the show.
The name Liam, and concept artwork for the Mystic Knight of Lightning's armor and weapons, were revealed in internal documents from toy company Bandai. No other information about Liam is known at this time.
